X.B. Consideration and Approval of First Reading of Student Data Privacy and Security Policy
Description:
During the 2014 Legislative Session, Senate Bill 1372 was passed, becoming Section 33-133 of Idaho Code. The State Board of Education has developed a model policy for all school districts and public charter schools that governs data collection, access, security and use of student data. In order to assure that student educational information is treated safely and securely and in a consistent manner throughout the state, each district and public charter school shall adopt and implement a data governance policy. A current copy of the policy must be posted to each district's website. Any district or public charter school that fails to adopt, implement and post the policy where any inappropriate release of data occurs shall be liable for a civil penalty not to exceed $50,000.

X.E. Report Superintendent Goals and Evaluation Process of Superintendent
Description:
The Board will evaluate, at least annually, the performance of the Superintendent, using standards and objectives developed by the Superintendent and Board, which are consistent with the District’s mission and goal statements. A specific time shall be designated for a formal evaluation session. The evaluation should include a discussion of strengths and weaknesses in the year immediately preceding the evaluation, as well as performance areas needing improvement. At least thirty-three percent (33%) of the evaluation will be based on multiple, objective measures of growth in student achievement as determined by the Board and based upon research. The Board has selected the following as the District’s measures of growth in student achievement for evaluating the Superintendent:
