PUBLIC PARTICIPATION (5 minutes maximum)

EXECUTIVE SESSION NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Education of the Española Public Schools will meet in Executive Session for the following purpose:
1.    Pursuant to NMSA 1978, Section 10-15-1 (H)(2) of the New Mexico Open Meetings Act, specifically, so that the Board can begin the process of discussing and preparing the Interim Superintendent’s annual evaluation.
2.    Pursuant to NMSA 1978, Section 10-15-1 (H)(2) and (H)(7) of the New Mexico Open Meetings Act, specifically, so that legal counsel can advise regarding an employee complaint and threatened litigation.
3.    Pursuant to Section 10-15-1(H)(7) of the New Mexico Open Meetings Act, specifically, so that the Board can meet with legal counsel to discuss threatened litigation including September 27, 2021 letter from Rio Grande Sun.
 

ACTION ITEMS

Approval or Disapproval of EPS BOE Resolution # 2021-22-003 Resolution In Support of New Mexico's Year of Literacy

Consider and take possible action, if any to:

1. Authorize legal counsel and the Interim Superintendent and/or Board President to proceed as discussed in Executive Session regarding employee complaint and threatened litigation.
2. Authorize legal counsel to proceed as discussed in Executive Session regarding threatened litigation including in relation to September 27, 2021 letter from Rio Grande Sun.
