EXECUTIVE SESSION NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Education of the Espanola Public Schools will meet in Executive Session for the following purpose:
A.      to discuss limited personnel matters as permitted under NMSA 1978, Section 10-15-1 (H) (2), specifically, the Superintendent Fred Trujillo’s resignation and personnel matters related to same including the status of the interim superintendent’s contract and the naming of an acting or interim superintendent as needed.
B.      to meet with legal counsel to discuss threatened litigation as permitted under NMSA 1978, Section 10-15-1(H)(7).
 

ACTION ITEMS

A.       Consider and take possible action regarding matters discussed in Executive Session, including (1) accept Superintendent Fred Trujillo’s resignation dated Friday, September 3, 2021, (2) name acting or interim superintendent, if needed; (3) revisit personnel related actions taken at September 2, 2021 Board meeting, if needed.

B.       Authorize legal counsel to proceed as discussed in Executive Session regarding threatened litigation.
