Discussion:  Chair Edward Jackson welcomed the Activities Committee and DO staff at 2:06pm. 
Present were Edward Jackson, Silas Paniptchuk, Stanley Tocktoo, and Annie Weyiouanna. Richard Elachik Sr. was excused. 
Tammy Dodd, Steven Perry, Suzzuk Huntington, and Kathy Commack were DO staff present. 

Discussion:  None

Discussion:  Steven explained the changes to cross country running for state qualifiers. BSSD will now get to send top girls and boys team, minimum of 3 runners, max. of 5 paid (top 3 runners, plus 2 teammates by points) by BSSD. 

Discussion:  2025 dates: Oct 23-25, travel 22nd and 26th. In order to cut costs, BSSD will pay 1 plane load for wrestlers and 1 plane load for cheerleaders, which will save 1/3 amount spent last year, ~$55K. 

Discussion:  2025 schedule: BSSD to cover 3 weekends of travel, 12 conference games total, 1 host weekend. Top 8 teams will attend regionals in Koyuk. Top 2 teams to state. 

Discussion:  2025 schedule: BSSD will pay for 5 weekends of travel, 10 conference games total. Top 8 boys and girls teams to regionals in Unalakleet. Top 2 boys and girls teams to state: 1 coach, 8 players, no site admin. Alaska Pacific University will open up a dorm during state for districts at a discounted rate of $80/night. 3 rooms + common area will allow 4 per room. 
 

Discussion:  $90K of transportation funds - where to use? Committee recommends to prioritize the wrestling/cheer tournament. Allow 1 more plane load to two. An update in November of remaining amount and decide if enough for in-person spelling bee in White Mountain.
