7.C. SSA Vehicle Purchase
Description:
In May 2025, a hailstorm came through and damaged both of the SSA vehicles. TASB deemed both vehicles as total losses and gave the SSA the option to keep the vehicles. We opted to keep both vehicles and TASB settled the loss for a total of $9025.41. Covington ISD wants to purchase the 2015 Ford Explorer from the SSA for $10,000. With TASB reimbursement and the $10,000 from CISD, the SSA has $19,025 budgeted for the purchase of a new vehicle. The SSA would like to purchase a 2026 Ford Explorer in the amount of $36,495, which would leave a difference of $17,470.
Currently, SSA has a fund balance of $366,209. $ 9,025 TASB Settlement for both SSA vehicles +$10,000 Covington's purchase of 2015 Ford Explorer $19,025 Budgeted for SSA vehicle purchase $36,495 Cost of 2026 Ford Explorer - $19,025 Budgeted for SSA vehicle purchase $17,470 Amend from Fund Balance |
