4. ANNOUNCEMENT - BOARD CONTINUING EDUCATION HOURS
Under State Board of Education Rules, completing required continuing education each year of service is a basic obligation and expectation of any sitting board member. As board president, I am required to announce the name of each member who, as of that member's anniversary of election or appointment to the board: a). has completed the required education hours; b). has exceeded the required continuing education; or c). is deficient in meeting the required continuing education. TOPIC 1 (NEW BOARD MEMBERS ONLY) New board members, Jude Graffagnino and Chris Kovatch, completed the required continuing education hours for Topic 1. TOPIC 2 - TEAM BUILDING (Minimum 3 hours annually) All board members (Marcus Wernig, Laura, Clark, Brad Frye, Chris Kovatch, Jude Graffagnino, Van Bo Henley, and Donovan Weldon) with Superintendent, Shaun McAlpin, completed the required education hours in team building. TOPIC 3 - ADDITIONAL CONTINUING EDUCATION (New Board Members - 10 hours; Experienced Board Members - 5 hours) Board member, Jude Graffagnino, has completed the additional continuing education training requirements. The following board members have exceeded the additional continuing education training requirements: Marcus Wernig, Laura Clark, Brad Frye, Chris Kovatch, Van Bo Henley, and Donovan Weldon
