I. Closed Session - The Board will move into closed session pursuant to Wisconsin Statutes Section 19.85(1)(e) to deliberate or negotiate the purchasing of public properties, the investing of public funds, or conducting other specified public business, whenever competitive or bargaining reasons require a closed session to discuss teacher, secretary, and paraprofessional negotiations.

IV. Recognition of Accomplishment
Description:
Board members may recognize students, staff or community members for outstanding contributions to the district or educational community.

V. Resident Participation
Description:
Resident participation is for those who wish to speak to the Board. Please review the Resident Participation guideline document at the meeting for more information. Those who wish to receive follow up after the meeting should sign in at the table near the door. Time will be limited to two minutes per speaker. Resident participation will be stopped after one hour.

VI. Consent Agenda - Ms. Williams
Description:
Consent agenda items are routine items that the Board approves without discussion. Board members may remove items from the consent agenda for further discussion, or to vote differently on that particular item.

VI.A. Agenda
Description:
The Board will approve or revise the agenda for the meeting.

VI.B. Bills for Payment
Description:
Bills for payment include all invoices that are currently due by the district.
|
VI.C. Minutes
Description:
The Board will be asked to approve the minutes as listed. Minutes are typically posted on the website once a month.

VI.D. Staffing - New Hires, Resignations, Retirements, Revised FTE
Description:
Board members routinely approve various staffing items on the consent agenda. Staffing decisions that have a large scale impact and need more discussion are listed on a different part of the agenda, as appropriate.

VI.E. Summer 2022 National FCCLA Trip to California
Description:
The Board will be asked to approve a trip in summer 2022 for the students who qualified for FCCLA nationals.

VI.F. Spring 2023 8th Grade Trip to Washington DC
Description:
The Board will be asked to approve a trip to Washington DC for 8th grade students during spring 2023.

VI.G. Approval to move the June 8 School Board meeting to June 1
Description:
The Board will be asked to move the first June meeting in order to attend the middle school recognition program.

VI.H. 2022-23 Individual Teacher Contract Approvals
Description:
The Board will be asked to approve individual contracts for the 2022-23 school year.

Description:
The Board will hear from our library specialists regarding the district library plan. The Board will be asked to approve the plan.

VII.D.1. 2021-22 SMEA Collective Bargaining Agreement Approval
Description:
The Board may approve the 2021-22 Collective Bargaining Agreement with the South Milwaukee Education Association.

Description:
Dr. Weiss will provide the Board with informational items related to recent or upcoming topics or events.

Description:

Description:
Board members may make announcements related to recent or upcoming topics or events.

XI. Closed Session - The Board will move into closed session pursuant to Wisconsin Statutes Section 19.85(1)(e) to deliberate or negotiate the purchasing of public properties, the investing of public funds, or conducting other specified public business, whenever competitive or bargaining reasons require a closed session to discuss teacher, secretary, and paraprofessional negotiations and pursuant to Wisconsin Statutes Section 19.85(1)(c) to consider employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility to discuss compensation details.
