10. PUBLIC INPUT - (AGENDA ITEMS ONLY)
The Alexandria Township Board of Education recognizes the value of public comment on educational issues and the importance of allowing members of the public to express themselves on school matters. Thus, the Board shall set aside two twenty minute periods for public comment each meeting. In order to permit the fair and orderly expression of such comment, public participation shall be governed by the following rules:

1.  A participant must be recognized by the presiding officer and must preface comments by announcing his/her name, place of residence, and group affiliation, if appropriate.
2.  Each statement made by a participant shall be limited to 5 minutes in duration.
3.  No participant may speak on the same topic until all others who wish to speak on that topic have been heard.
4.  All statements shall be directed to the presiding officer; no participant may address Board members individually.

13.A. Finance
Upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools that the Board approve the transfers for the months ending August 31, 2020 as submitted by the Superintendent, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:22-8-2.

to accept the monthly financial reports of the Board Secretary and the Treasurer of School Moneys for the month ending August 31, 2020 in compliance with N.J.A.C.6:20-2.13(3) that the Board of Education certify that no major account or fund has been overexpended and that as of this report sufficient funds are available to meet the District's financial obligations for the remainder of the fiscal year.

upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools that the Board accept the certification of the School Business Administrator, as required by N.J.A.C.6:20-2.13(D), that no line item account has been over expended as of August 31, 2020, and that as of this date sufficient funds are available to meet the District's financial obligations for the remainder of the fiscal year.

13.D. Travel and Related Expenses Reimbursed
RESOLVED upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of the Alexandria Township Board of Education approves the attached list of requests for employee/Board Member travel in accordance with the School District Accountability Act. Only overnight stays are eligible for meal reimbursement. Mileage, meals, and lodging reimbursements shall be in accordance with NJ Statute, Code, and NJ Department of Treasury Guidelines. OMB Mileage Reimbursement Rate is $0.35.

13.E. Personnel
RESOLVED upon the recommendation of the Superintendent the Alexandria Township Board of Education approves the following:

13.E.1) Mentor Approval
Motion to approve Theresa Travis as a mentor for Peter Martin, Drama Teacher.
Motion to approve Lisa Mroz as a mentor for Caitlyn Murphy, Special Education Teacher.

13.E.2) Schedule B Revision
Motion to accept the resignation of the Kindergarten Team Leader Position by Ursula Accumanno and assign to Lisa Mroz at a prorated stipend of $1,541, effective October 16, 2020. 

13.E.3) Paraprofessional
Motion to hire an additional part time (.5) Paraprofessional for the 2020-2021 school year.

13.E.4) Extended Leave
Motion to extend the previously approved Family Medical Leave for staff member ID ST166 through November 25, 2020.

13.E.5) Pandemic Response Committee
Motion to approve the following staff as part of the Pandemic Response Committee to be paid $45 per hour - August 17 and August 24, 2020:

13.E.6) Motion to approve Erin Liberto as subsitute teacher for the 2020-2021 school year effective immediately. 

13.F. Technology Curriculum
Resolved upon the recommendation of the Superintendent that the Board approve the 2020/2021 Technology Curriculum. 

13.G. Tuition Contract
Resolved upon the recommendation fo the Superintendent that the Board approve a 2020-2021 School Year Tuition Contract with Holland Township Board of Education for student ID #3349 in the amount of $18,108.00 and related services in the amount of $5,613.00.    

13.H. Preschool Tuition

13.H.1) Resolved upon the recommendation of the Superintendent that the Board approve the reduction of preschool tuition from $625 per month to $500 per month for November and December 2020, and that the Board will reconvene in December to determine future tuition charges.

13.H.2) Motion to approve a Tuition Contract Agreement for the 2020-21 school year for a preschool student whose name is on file in the business office, at a tuition rate of $6,000 per year. (12 students).  Monthly tuition may be reduced with Board approval due to pandemic.

13.I. Approve Submission and Accept Award for 2020-2021 (FY21) Federal Grants 
RESOLVED, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent, the Alexandria Township Board of Education approves the submission, and accepts the award for the following Federal grants:

13.J. Approve FY21 Withdrawal from Maintenance Reserve Account
RESOLVED, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent, the Alexandria Township Board of Education approves the 2020-2021 withdrawal of $80,000 from the Maintenance Reserve Account. The district has incurred unbudgeted expenses related to cleaning and disinfecting of our facilities because of COVID-19.

13.K. Approve 2021-2022 (FY22) Budget Calendar
RESOLVED, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent, the Alexandria Township Board of Education approves the FY22 Budget Calendar.
