On behalf of fellow Board members, at this time I would like to invite any member of the audience to stand with comments about items of interest or concern that do or do not appear on the agenda this evening. Please begin by stating your name and address. It would be appreciated if you would limit your comments to three minutes so that we can keep the meeting moving in a timely fashion and allow others an opportunity to speak. We ask that you remember that Wisconsin law prohibits us from discussing specific employees or their job performance. Thank you for your support of our school district. |

VIII.2. WASB Business Honor Roll
Description:
The Board will decide up to five businesses to nominate for the annual WASB Business Honor Roll as appreciation for their support of our schools.

VIII.3. Seclusion and Restraint Report
Description:
2011 ACT 125 Requirement: The law requires each school (the principal or a designee) to report the data annually, by Sept. 1, to the school board a report on the number of incidents of seclusion and physical restraint in the previous year; the total number of students involved in the incidents; and the total number of students with disabilities involved in the incidents. The Act requires the information be broken down by the school.

VIII.4. Elementary School Building Planning
Description:
The District recommends approval of an $11.92MM bond for elementary school remodeling and $350K recurring referendum for operations.
The average mill rate increase over a 20-year average is $2.09 for the bond question and $.86 for the recurring operations question.

VIII.5. Revisit Budget Reduction - Athletic Support Staff

Description:
When developing the preliminary budget, the board took action to reduce expenditures, and a combined total of $265,926 was reduced across the district. Specifically, general athletics made up $33,250 of the overall reduction mainly across object codes of wages/retirement and account/apparel.
The board requested to revisit the decision to reduce athletics.

Description:
The District recommends approval to hire Heather Critchlow to a 1.0 FTE position at the elementary as a 5th Grade Teacher.

Description:
The District recommends approval to hire Micki Uppena to a 1.0 FTE position at the elementary as a Library, Technology, and Media Systems Teacher.
