VI.A.4.a. The Hidalgo ISD Athletic Department is requesting permission for the Powerlifting Team to go to Fiesta Texas Theme Park, at San Antonio, Texas, on Thursday, May 15, 2025.

VI.A.4.b. The Hidalgo ISD Athletic Department is requesting permission to go to a field trip to Quintas Las 4 Lunas Water Park in Mission, Texas for the varsity sport teams, boys and girls, on Friday, May 16, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

VI.A.4.c. The Hidalgo ISD Fine Arts Department is requesting permission for the Jr. High Band students to travel to Beach Waterpark in South Padre Island, Texas on Wednesday, May 21, 2025. The purpose of the trip is to celebrate all the accolades and accomplishments the band students earned throughout this academic school year.

VI.A.4.d. The Hidalgo ISD Fine Arts Department is requesting permission for the Band Program to travel to Austin, Texas for a UIL Texas State Solo and Ensemble Contest and a Six Flags day in San Antonio, Texas from May 26-27, 2025.

VI.A.4.e. The Hidalgo ISD Bilingual Department is requesting permission for two 5th graders from Salinas Elementary to travel to El Paso, Texas on June 17-20, 2025, to participate in the Texas Spanish Spelling Bee 2025.

XII. ADJOURNMENT:

Description: Agenda items may be considered, deliberated and/or acted upon in a different order than numbered above. The Board of Trustees of The Hidalgo ISD reserves the right to adjourn into Executive (Closed) Session at any time during the course of this meeting to discuss any of the items listed on this agenda as authorized by the Texas Open Meetings Act. No final action will be taken in Executive Session.
Public Input Policy: “During the meeting, the Hidalgo ISD will allow for an open public forum/ comment period. This comment period shall not exceed one-half hour (1/2) hour in length and each speaker will be allowed a maximum of three (3) minutes to speak. All individuals desiring to address the Hidalgo ISD must sign up to do so, prior to the open comment period. The purpose of this comment period is to provide the public an opportunity to address issues or topics that are under the jurisdiction of the Hidalgo ISD. For issues or topics which are not otherwise part of the posted agenda for the meeting, members may direct staff to investigate the issue or topic further. No action or discussion shall be taken on the issues or topics which are not part of the posted agenda for the meeting. Members of the public may be recognized on posted agenda items deemed appropriate by the President as the items are considered, and the same time limitations three (3) minutes applies.”
