VII. Superintendent and/or School Board Member Report

Goal Area 1 - Academics:  All learners will continuously demonstrate academic growth.

Goal Area 2 - Safety:  We will provide a safe and secure learning environment for all.

Goal Area 3 - Equity:  We will provide a positive, inclusive, and equitable environment for all.

Goal Area 4 - Communication:  We will improve communication and strengthen relationships both internally and externally.

Goal Area 5 - Finances:  We will advocate to increase the financial resources of the Corporation to provide an outstanding school environment and opportunities for our students, staff, and community.

VIII. Professional Development

VIII.B. We  recommend that Adrian Wilkerson attend the IASBO (Indiana Association of School Business Officials) Leadership Academy on April 19-20,2022 in Plainfield, IN with expenses paid from the operations Fund.

 

VIII.C. We are recommending that Adrian Wilkerson and Christina Akers attend the IASBO (Indiana Association of School Business Officials) Annual meeting on May 3-6, 2022 in French Lick, IN with expenses paid from the Operations Fund.

 

VIII.D. We recommend that Dr. Sharon Johnson-Shirley, Cynthia Trevino, Kim Osteen, Glenn Johnson, Jon Evans, and Dan Diehl attend the ISBA (Indiana School Boards Association) Region I Spring Regional Meeting on April 20, 2022 in Schererville, IN with expenses paid from the Tittle II A Fund. 
 

VIII.E. We recommend that Dr. Sharon Johnson-Shirley attend the IAPSS (Indiana  Association of Public School Superintendents) Professional Development Seminar on  April 20, 2022 in Indianapolis, IN with expenses paid from the Tittle II A Fund.

IX. Leave/Resignation/Employment
All new employment to Lake Ridge New Tech Schools is contingent upon a cleared Expanded Criminal History Background Check within 30 days and a cleared Expanded Child Protection Index Check within 60 days of effective date.  IC 20-26-2-1.5 and IC 20-26-2-1.3

IX.A. We recommend terminating Verdell Gray as the Title I Paraprofessional at Lake Ridge New Tech Middle School effective March 14, 2022.

IX.B. We recommend accepting Maria Garcia’s resignation from the Student Supervisor position at Longfellow New Tech Elementary School effective April 4, 2022. 

IX.C. We recommend accepting Ashley Wilkins’ resignation from the Student Supervisor position at Longfellow New Tech Elementary School effective April 1, 2022. 

IX.D. We recommend accepting Kevin Bradley’s resignation from the Varsity Assistant Baseball Coaching position at Calumet New Tech High School effective immediately. 

IX.E. We are recommending accepting Justin Hauser's resignation as the Bowling Sponsor at Calumet New Tech High School effective March 10, 2022. 

IX.F. We recommend accepting Joe Olah’s retirement request from the Art Teacher position at Lake Ridge New Tech Middle School effective June 3, 2022.
    
 

IX.G. We recommend Crystal Bustillos be employed as a kindergarten teacher at Longfellow New Tech Elementary School effective August 15, 2022.
 

IX.H. We are recommending Barbara Meeks be employed as a 4th Grade teacher at Longfellow New Tech Elementary School effective April 1, 2022. 
    
 

IX.I. We recommend Susanne O’Drobinak be employed as the Head Start Education/Disability Coordinator effective April 19, 2022. 

IX.J. We recommend Kimberly Bloomquist be employed as a Head Start Teacher Assistant effective April 19, 2022.  

IX.K. We recommend Teressa Green Clark be employed as a Head Start Lead Teacher effective April 19, 2022.

 

IX.L. We recommend Laurie Cain be employed as the Girls’ Varsity Tennis Coach at Calumet New Tech High School for the 2021-2022 season. 

IX.M. We recommend Danneylle Thomas be employed as the Junior Varsity Softball Coach at Calumet New Tech High School for the 2021-2022 season. 
 

IX.N. We recommend Kevin Bradley be employed as the Varsity Assistant Softball Coach at Calumet New Tech High School for the 2021-2022 season. 

 

IX.O. We recommend Oralia Castro be employed as Grant Manager for Lake Ridge New Tech Schools effective May 2, 2022.
    
 

IX.P. Recommend approval of the Leaves/Resignations/Employment items.

X.D. We recommend approving the following fundraisers at Calumet New Tech High School:
 April 4, 2022-April 10, 2022-LaBraid Butter Sales for the National Honor Society Account.
