Mrs. Ramirez gave the elementary board report. Morning arrival & afternoon dismissal have been running smoothly.
And we survived the heat! Our PreK transfers started on the Monday of the second week of school. Elementary A Rating and Distinctions: Our goal this year is a 3peat! We’ve had a couple parent nights in addition to Meet the Teacher — A Day in the Life on the 3rd & 4th. This allows the parents to hear directly from the teachers about their grade level expectations. Mrs. Ramirez gave the MS Report while Mr. Massey was at volleyball. Enrollment is at 169 for the MS. Cross Country has been working hard for several weeks with 6am practices and will get started this week with their first meet at Hemphill. Volleyball won their first game of the year as they beat West Rusk last week. Football has started practicing after school. We will get our season started on Thursday, Sept 10 at Cushing. The band is in full swing with 79 Middle School students participating. We have 52 8th grade students participating in Ag. Mr. Autrey gave the HS Report. Enrollment is at 222 students. Beginning of the Year Testing is taking place. Volleyball, Football & Band are off to great starts. FFA starts their meat & cookie dough fundraiser today. |
