RFP Presentations for Baseball/Softball Fields

Symmetry Sports Construction presented to the board regarding the baseball/softball fields. Their team showed us other fields they had completed. Mr. Spivey, Coach
Compton & board members asked specific questions regarding the drawings that were presented. John Settle with Hellas Construction presented to the board information regarding upgrades to the current softball & baseball fields. Turf Meister was the last to give a presentation.

Principal's Report

Mr. Spivey gave the principals reports.
Elementary Summer School is in session with about 20 students. Teachers are rotating students to cover content areas and are doing research and writing as well. All buildings have been waxed except for the wing used for summer school. Mrs. White is closely monitoring enrollment for the 25-26 4th grade class. They are expected to have about 60 students. Middle school teachers are participating in workshops and professional development throughout the summer. Floors are currently being prepared for waxing. Overall, STAAR performance was great. GMS outperformed the regional and state in most categories. Cheer Camp is finishing up today and band camp begins July 28th. High School presented STAAR scores and areas of growth and areas that need improvement. BETA is currently in Orlando at the National Beta Convention.
