Description:
The Highland Park Independent School District is required to hold a public hearing before adopting the general fund budget, the debt service budget, and adopting property tax rates for the 2025-26 school year.
In accordance with the Texas Comptroller's of Pubic Accounts, "Truth-in-Taxation", a school district must publish a "Notice of Public Meeting to Discuss Budget and Proposed Tax Rate" in a local newspaper. The notice must appear in the newspaper no later than 10 days or earlier than 30 days before the date of the public meeting. This year's notice is attached.

11.I. Add Authorized Representative to Lone Star Investment Pool Accounts
Description:
Per Lone Star Investment Pool policy, the Board of Trustees must approve authorized representatives of the school district. Administration is requesting that the Board approve Shawn Guan, Director of Accounting, to be added as an authorized representative for HPISD.

11.J. Capital Improvement Request: Boone Turf
Description:
The Boone Elementary PTA is proposing a major outdoor improvement project scheduled to take place from July 1 through September 2025. The plan includes installing turf on the main field and upgrading the playground. Planned playground enhancements feature the addition of a swing set, regrading of the field, installation of a drainage system, rock subgrade, retaining wall, play mounds, and a 9 Square game area. Additionally, fencing along Durgam will be relocated to support the new layout.
