B. Discuss and take possible action regarding compliance with Senate Bill 546 reporting requirements. Roby CISD is currently not in compliance with the requirement for three-point seat belts on applicable school buses. The Board will consider the following options: Option 1: Determine that current budget constraints do not allow for retrofitting existing buses or purchasing new buses equipped with three-point seat belts at this time. The district will continue to evaluate future funding opportunities to move toward compliance. Option 2: Determine that budget resources are available to begin moving toward compliance by either retrofitting existing buses with three-point seat belts and/or purchasing new buses equipped with three-point seat belts, as financially feasible. |
