II. EXECUTIVE SESSION

II.1. Pursuant to A.R.S. §38-431.03 (A)(1)-The Board may vote to convene in executive session to interview candidates for the position of District Superintendent.  The Board will either move to a different location to hold the session or will ask those in attendance to leave the room and take with them all the materials and ensure that no recording devices are left in the room.  Only members of the Board and those individuals whose presence is reasonably necessary for the Board to carry out its executive session responsibilities may attend the executive session. No action will be taken in the Executive Session.  All business conducted in executive session is confidential.

III. ACTION ITEMS - DISTRICT BUSINESS
(Specific items of District business as listed for consideration - may include various categorical areas as the business of the District necessitates Board discussion, deliberation, and action)

III.1. The Governing Board may discuss and may consider the next steps in the process of seeking a new District Superintendent, to include the possible offering to a specific candidate the opportunity to enter into contract negotiations for the position of District Superintendent and authorize the Board's President to make that offer.

III.2. The Governing Board will discuss and may consider action to authorize a designated Board Member(s) to be the liaison(s) with the District Legal Counsel in developing the District Superintendent Contract.
