Closed Session: The Marion ISD Board of Trustees will convene in a closed meeting pursuant to the following sections of the Texas Government Codes:

Pursuant to Texas Government Code Section 551.071, the Board will consult with its legal counsel regarding litigation pending in the matter styled John Doe, individually and as next friend of Sarah Doe, a Minor, Plaintiffs v. Marion Independent School District, Kyle Kelso, individually and as teacher of Marion High School, and Matthew Connor, individually and as vice principal of Marion High School, Defendants, Civil Action No. 5:17-CV-01114 in the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas, San Antonio Division.

Section 551.074 of the Texas Government Code to deliberate the appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, or dismissal of a public officer or employee.

Deliberation regarding the possible purchase of real property for future campus development where the public deliberation would have a detrimental effect on the District's bargaining position pursuant to Texas Government Code 551.072.
