Welcome to a meeting of the Board of Education of the Township of Holland. Please be advised that this and all meetings of the Board are open to the public and media, consistent with the Open Public Meetings Act (Chapter 231 Laws of 1975); and that advance notice as required therein has been provided. This is a regular meeting of the Board of Education of the Township of Holland at which formal action may be taken. 1) Upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools that the Board approve the transfers for the month ending June 30, 2021 as submitted by the Superintendent, as authorized by N.J.S.A. 18A:22-8.1. 2) To accept the Holland Township Board of Education's certification that the Superintendent, Stephanie Snyder, recommends that the Board of Education accept the monthly financial reports of the Board Secretary and the Treasurer of School Moneys for the months ending June 30, 2021 and she recommends in compliance with N.J.A.C. 6:20-2.13(3) that the Board of Education certify that no major account or fund has been overexpended and that as of this report sufficient funds are available to meet the District's financial obligations for the remainder of the fiscal year. 3) Upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools that the Board accept the School Business Administrator/Board Secretary's, John Trent certification as required by N.J.A.C. 6:20- 2.13(d), that no line item account has been over expended as of June 30, 2021 and that as of this date sufficient funds are available to meet the District's financial obligations for the remainder of the fiscal year |

M.7. Approve ESY P/T Services
RESOLVED that upon the recommendation of the Superintendent the Holland Township Board of Education approves Mrs. Maryann Huzar as a P/T (Physical Therapist) for the Extended School Year (ESY). Mrs. Huzar's will be paid $811 for her services. The program was in effect from July 6, 2021 – July 29, 2021, 4 days per week, 4 hours per day |
M.8. Approve ESY Substitutes
RESOLVED that upon the recommendation of the Superintendent the Holland Township Board of Education approves Mrs. Amy Bashford as a Substitute Teacher for the Special Education Extended School Year (ESY). Mrs. Bashford’s hourly salary rate will be $56.19. The program will be in effect from July 6, 2021 – July 29, 2021, 4 days per week, 4 hours per day. |
M.9. Approve Staff Members for Home Instruction
RESOLVED that upon the recommendation of the Superintendent the Holland Township Board of Education approves all employed teachers for Home Instruction as per the negotiated contract for the 2021-2022 school year. |
M.10. Approve Staff Members for Title 1 Tutors
RESOLVED that upon the recommendation of the Superintendent the Holland Township Board of Education approves all employed teachers for Title 1 Tutors as per the negotiated contract for the 2021-2022 school year. |
M.11. Approve Aides to Ride School Bus
RESOLVED that upon the recommendation of the Superintendent the Holland Township Board of Education approves all current employed Special Education Aides as supportive transportation aides for students with disabilities as per requirements set forth in the student's IEP, and as directed by the Supervisor of Special Services. |
M.12. Approve Staff Members as Chaperones
RESOLVED that upon the recommendation of the Superintendent the Holland Township Board of Education approves all employed teachers, aides, clerks and secretaries with certification or substitute certification to act as chaperones for school activities as per negotiated contract. |
M.13. Approve Principal Evaluation Framework
RESOLVED that upon the recommendation of the Superintendent the Holland Township Board of Education approves the Multidimensional Principal Performance Rubric, Lerner-Centered Initiatives, Ltd. to evaluate the building principal for the 2021-2022 school year. |
M.14. Approve Danielson Framework for Teaching Evaluation

M.23. Approve Increment Withholding for Employee N umber 21960687
WHEREAS, employee number 21960687 (“Employee 21960687”) is currently employed by the Holland Township Board of Education (“Board”) as a teaching staff member; and WHEREAS, the Board’s Superintendent has recommended that Employee 21960687’s employment salary and adjustment increments be withheld during the 2021-2022 school year, and that the salary of such employee be maintained at the same amount as the salary level for such employee as during the 2020-2021 school year; and WHEREAS, the Board finds that good cause exists to withhold Employee 21960687’s salary and adjustment increments for the 2021-2022 school year only. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board hereby affirms the recommendation of the Superintendent and withholds the employment salary and adjustment increments of Employee 21960687 for the 2021-2022 school year only. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that absent additional formal action by the Board, Employee 21960687’s salary and adjustment increments shall be restored during the 2022-2023 school year. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board hereby directs the Business Administrator/Board Secretary to provide Employee 21960687 with written notice that his/her employment salary and adjustment increments for the 2021-2022 school year are being withheld, together with the reasons therefor, within ten (10) days of the date of this resolution pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:29-14. |
