Description:
The purpose of this closed session agenda item is for administration to share information regarding a potential land purchase of a specific site in the Waunakee community.

VII. BETHEL CIRCLE REMODELING
Description:
The purpose of this agenda item is to review an updated plan for Bethel Circle remodeling. Attached please find a document detailing the updated plan for Bethel Circle. This updated plan only includes two new offices being created out of an existing records room. Our architect EUA has designed these two new offices in a manner that will coincide with any future plans for remodeling at Bethel Circle. The two new offices would provide a location for both the HR Director and the Communications Specialist. Administration is requesting approval to seek quotes on the construction of these two offices. We are also seeking feedback from the committee on the approach that we would take to seek quotes, if approved by the committee.

VIII. NOVEMBER 2022 REFERENDUM PLANNING PROCESS

VIII.A. Community Survey
Description:
Administration is in the process of drafting a community survey regarding the November 2022 referendum planning process. The draft will be presented to the school board at the regular February board meeting. Administration will be requesting feedback on the draft and then will be bringing a final version of the survey to the March board meeting for approval. The goal is to have community feedback ready for school board review in May.

VIII.B. Request for Proposal for a Land Purchase
Description:
The community survey is seeking input into the topic of the location of a new Middle School. The location of a new Middle School could either be the existing Heritage Elementary School site or a new location that would require a land purchase by the district. The current Intermediate School site was originally identified as a potential location for a Middle School. However, this site is no longer viewed as a good fit for a new middle school. Administration is seeking feedback from the committee regarding the topic of submitting a request for proposal for a land purchase to the Waunakee Community.

VIII.C. Facility Project Management Options
Description:
Administration is requesting to delay any decision on facility project management options until a point in time when a potential November 2022 referendum has been narrowed down to a specific plan. The dollar amount that will be allocated toward maintenance projects could range significantly depending on the final decision on a specific plan. As a result, we are seeking to align the decision making process for management options with the determination of the specific referendum plan.

IX. FUTURE MEETINGS
Description:
Administration will be requesting a meeting in early March to continue the discussion on referendum planning and to review potential 2022-23 capital projects.
