V.G. Instructional Delivery Models
Description:
Attached please find a brief presentation that outlines the instructional delivery models that represent the most prevalent approaches to planning for the fall. You will see that we are working on a continuum of instruction taking place In-Person, Virtual, and through various blended / hybrid solutions. The status of COVID-19 and the direction from Public Health will dictate which model we are needing to implement, and we need to be fluid in the event that we need to switch between models next year. It should also be noted that we anticipate needing to have a virtual approach for those students who may not be able to return as a result of being high risk / health related concerns, and those families that are not comfortable with their child/ren returning until a vaccine is in place.
Tim Schell will review this presentation with the Board and provide an update on a parent survey that he is working on to solicit feedback on the hybrid models. We need to plan for multiple scenarios for the fall, but need to choose one of the hybrid models as our blended option so we can progress with planning around that scenario. Tim will share a draft of the survey with you prior to Monday's Board Meeting, as it is still in production.
