III. 2018-2019 District and School Accountability Report Cards

Description:
Tim Schell will present the highlights from the recent public release of state accountability report cards. Overall, the data is positive with scores stable to increasing, the district and five schools in the significantly exceeds expectations and one school in the exceeds expectations category. The district score was the highest in Dane County and the 26th highest in the state and 13th among K-12 districts. The detailed report cards are attached for your reference, but Tim will not review them unless you have specific questions.

IV. New Course Proposals

Tim Schell, Jason McConnell
Description:
There are three new course proposals. One from the high school is the Digital Communications course we discussed last meeting. Jason McConnell will be available to discuss the course. The other two are new 8th grade Family and Consumer Science (FCS) electives to replace the current single 8th grade FCS elective. This is more in line with Tech Ed, where we have two 8th grade electives. All proposals have moved through department review, school review, and Systemwide review.

V. Student Perspectives on Digital Materials

Description:
We will be joined by a few students from the High School's principals cabinet to hear student voice on how they use digital materials and Schoology.
