III. Winter STAR Testing

Description:
K-6 teachers and principals have expressed an interest to have flexibility to test more students in the Winter STAR window that covered in the assessment schedule approved last June. They will be proposing some temporary flexibility for the winter window and the assessment committee will discuss this further early in 2019.

IV. PI-26 Plan

Description:
Tim will present an overview of our PI-26 (formerly Education for Employment) plan update. This is essentially a summary of our academic and career planning programs.

V. Professional Development Days

Description:
Tim will provide a brief overview of professional development days for the remainder of the year. Two elements that all staff will be participating in are Trauma Sensitive Schools and Speak Up at School and there is some information attached regarding these two elements.

VI. HLC Requirements and Dual Credit

Description:
The Higher Learning Commission (HLC) in the accrediting organization for colleges and universities in our region. The HLC has strengthened requirements for dual credit instructors and our IHE partners are responding. This has implications for the continued professional development of our dual credit teachers and, potentially, where it will be feasible for us to continue providing dual credit opportunities for students. Tim will provide an overview of the issue, which will come fully into effect in 2022.
