V. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES FOR CO-CURRICULAR PROGRAMS
Description:
Brian Kersten, Aaron May and I met to discuss roles and responsibilities for Co-Curricular Program oversight. Attached please find the job description for the Activities Director. You will see that this position is in charge primarily for athletic activities and for scheduling of facilities for events. I want to discuss with the committee how this process works with shared responsibility between the high school principal and the activities director for athletic and non-athletic co-curricular programs. We welcome your questions and feedback.

VI. OUTLINE FOR FUTURE CO-CURRICULAR REPORT
Description:
The current format and information included in the co-curricular report (attached) was developed over ten years ago and has been modified each year since to include information requested by board members over that time period. Additionally, each year we discuss what should be included in that report. I recommend that the Co-Curricular Committee begin a discussion to redefine what this report should include for the future. In essence, I think we need to start from scratch and build a new report that has meaning and relevance for today. Additionally, I believe we should discuss having a separate report to reflect the information being requested from Booster Clubs. For next week's meeting, I would like to begin to discuss and outline what is of value to you for a future co-curricular report (both athletic and non-athletic activities), when it should be presented, and to whom (committee and/or full board)?

VII. BOOSTER CLUB INFORMATION AND PROCESS TO REQUEST THIS INFORMATION
Description:
Part of the Co-Curricular Report includes financial statements from the Athletic Booster Clubs. I would like to discuss with the committee a new process for requesting this information and the specific information that you want included in that report. I have some thoughts to share with the committee at the meeting -- a draft memo, policy attachments, and financial report items that could be included in a revised process.

IX. PRACTICE OVER SPRING BREAK
Description:
Aaron May receives requests and feedback from coaches and parents regarding sports whose designated start date for practices falls within our week of spring break. We would like to discuss and solicit your perspective / feedback on our practices for sports that officially can start during our spring break week, the placement of any tryout time-frames, and impacts if students do not attend practice as a result of family vacations during that week. The sports most impacted are girl's soccer and baseball.
