Description:
The Teacher HR Work Group has met and discussed potential changes to the Teacher Employment Guidelines. The recommendations from the work group are attached for your review.

VI. DISCUSS SUBSTITUTE PAY
Description:
The last time we increased our daily substitute teacher pay was at the beginning of the 2013-14 school year. At that time we increased our daily rate from $110 to $115. Currently Deforest, McFarland, Sauk Prairie, Sun Prairie, and Verona pay $117 per day. Administration recommends increasing our daily rate to $120 per day, effective at the beginning of the 2018-19 school year.

VII. DISCUSS THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE QTI RECOMMENDATIONS
Description:
Administration will share some of the challenges encountered in implementation of the QTI recommendations, along with anticipated on-going challenges of keeping our pay schedules up-to-date and competitive so that we do not lose the benefits gained from doing the study. Copies
of the adopted pay schedules are attached for your reference.

VIII. CONTINUE DISCUSSION ABOUT VISION FOR EMPLOYEE COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Description:
The attached document is an updated version of the HR Vision Document that the Committee reviewed earlier this year. The changes include a summary of the 10-year history on insurance benefits, and the question about what high level objectives / parameters do we want / need to set for Human Resources. We would like to discuss the next steps in this process with the Committee.
