Description:  Attached please find the notes and survey results from the recent Linkage Meeting on Co-Curricular Programs.  Please review these documents and think about two questions:

1.  What one to three actions can/should we consider taking right now given the input we received from the Linkage Meeting?

2.  What themes emerged from the Linkage Meeting that you think require additional study / input etc.?

I recommend that you think about your response to these questions from a "high level".  We can decipher themes and common areas down to more detail after our discussion.

I will bring my thoughts on these questions to the meeting, as well, so we can discuss and begin to set some direction for the next steps.

Description:  I will bring to the meeting information about a survey that School Perceptions is doing with WASB related to co-curricular programs and how we might be able to participate with their pilot at no cost.  I am not including any documents in BoardBook as I do not have them in a format that fits nicely for you to review and it will probably be easier for us to discuss the concepts of their project first, before we try to dive into details.  They are at the very beginning of planning and discussing this project so if we decide to participate we are entering the process prior to the development stage.  There may or may not be opportunities here that we want to explore.  I look forward to sharing and discussing this item with you next week.

Description:  I would like to discuss with the committee ideas for Linkage Meetings for the 2017-2018 school year.  If you have ideas that you think we should recommend to the full board for consideration, please bring them to the committee for us to discuss.

I would like to propose that we conduct a fall 2017 Linkage Meeting with the High School Justice League students and their adviser, Larry Hale.  These students presented and did a short workshop with our administrative team this winter.   It was excellent for us to hear and discuss student perspectives on issues like bullying, diversity, socioeconomic, etc.

Follow-up on items related to the Co-Curricular topic may be approprite for the spring of 2018. This topic may also fit in well if we decide to partner with School Perceptions on a survey to further solicit input on our programs, philosophy, etc.  It may also fit  with the Board Goal for next year around community leadership.

I look forward to hearing your perspective on these suggesstions and other ideas you may have for the coming year.

Description:  Attached please find a DRAFT of the Board and Superintendent Goals and Performance Indicators for 2017-2018.  Thank you Peggy for your work pulling the bulk of this together following our evaluation meetings this winter.  We jointly developed the performance indicators and look forward to discussing this proposal with the committee.  Following our discussion and edits, we are want to move this item to the full board for consideration.
