V. REVIEW BUDGET FRAMEWORK FOR FACILITY AND OTHER PROJECTS
Description:
The purpose of this agenda item is to review the budget planning framework. The
budget planning framework has been attached for your review. This document is a follow up to the January 18th Special Board meeting. I am requesting feedback from the committee on this document, and then would like to share this framework at the March School Board meeting. The Budget Committee reviewed this document on March 1st, and supported the overall direction. Please keep in mind that each of the individual projects listed on the budget framework will still need School Board approval individually. This document is intended to show the potential funding mechanics for each of these projects.

VI. HERITAGE ELEMENTARY BIDS
Description:
The purpose of this agenda item is to review the Heritage Elementary School bids. I have attached the bid document for your review. Please keep in mind that the administration is recommending the transfer of district contingency funds from the Intermediate School project to the Heritage School project to complete maintenance projects like asphalt and carpeting, and for projects that are above and beyond the referendum scope like the additional playground equipment. We are also recommending that the Intermediate School builders contingency fund be utilized for any contingency related expenses at Heritage.
The bid document includes a column called "referendum value" that references the pre-referendum budget amounts for Heritage. The document also includes a "base bid" column that references the bids for the referendum projects. The "added value" column includes bids for projects not originally included in the pre-referendum scope for Heritage. Administration is seeking feedback from the committee on the movement of funds from the Intermediate School owners contingency to Heritage School to accomplish the projects listed in the "added value" column.

VII. INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL PHOTOVOLTAIC SYSTEM
Description:
The purpose of this agenda item is to review the Intermediate School solar system proposal. The
district was awarded a $25,000 grant from WPPI. Waunakee Utilities is a member of the WPPI. I have attached the grant award and two bids for your review. We are recommending approval of the low bid, from HH Solar. We have worked with HH Solar in the past on solar projects. The project would cost $56,920, and we would fund the additional $31,920 out of the equipment budget from the Intermediate School referendum funds.

VIII. REVIEW ELECTRICAL STATE CONTRACT
Description:
The purpose of this agenda item is to review the electrical state contract from Westphal/Globalcomm. I have attached a copy of this contract for your review. The district currently contracts with a number of firms who provide electrical services. We have selected Westphal/Globalcomm for the referendum projects, but we could select them as the electrical contractor for the entire district under the terms of the state contract. Administration has the ability to make this decision under the School Board's purchasing policy, but we are seeking feedback from the committee on this approach.
