V. RE-CONSIDER AND CONSIDER SALARY INCREASES FOR CLASSIFIED STAFF AND ADMINISTRATION FOR 2015-2016 SCHOOL YEAR
Description:
Peggy Hill-Breunig brought to my attention that when we voted for salary increases at the last meeting, we did not have Mark Hetzel and Gary Epping abstain from the vote for the employee units that include their spouses. To ensure that we do not find ourselves in violation of ethics laws, our attorney recommended that we take action on this item again, and allow for the abstentions. The posting language was recommended to me by Kirk Strang. I recommend that we take two votes, one for the classified staff and one for the administrative staff. I will have the motions written out for Monday so we can ensure that it follows process accordingly. Thanks for your understanding.
