Description:  Attached please find two documents that will be used on Monday, January 18th for the Special Meeting (Workshop) with the Board of Education and members of the Administrative Cabinet.

The first document titled, "January 18th Special Board of Education Meeting" is a description of the organization for the evening, including the assigned groups, rotation schedule for board members, and outline for the evening with three discussion prompts for use after each section of the budget presentation.

The second document is a Power Point presentation that will guide the workshop on Monday evening.  It includes the pertinent budget information that we will be presenting and discussing at the meeting.

The desired outcomes for the meeting are:

1.   Budget and District Planning

2.   Alignment of Available Funds -- to help show what is available for various purposes.

3.  Overview of Expenditures and Opportunities -- you will see "big picture" options with regards to facility projects and compensation, and then a snap-shot of the programmatic budget requests that we received from our team on January 8th.  These requests will be internally reviewed and we will explore options/priorities to present to the Board in the coming months.

4.  Collaboration and Feedback -- we value the interaction among the Board and the administrative team and want to provide a venue to hold open dialog on important district topics.  Also, the feedback we receive from the small group discussions will help to guide our next steps in the budget development process.
