V. REVIEW HERITAGE RENOVATION/MAINTENANCE PLANS AND TOURN FACILITY TO SHOW AREAS OF DESIGNATED WORK
Description:
This meeting will take place at Heritage Elementary School. We will meet in the school office.
The purpose for this meeting is to reacquaint you with the project scope and the facility maintenance needs at the Heritage/Intermediate School. There are some key decision points we need to make in the coming weeks as we prepare for the final design and the bidding process, and we also want to use the tour of Heritage to bring forward some district level decisions that are related to the referendum projects and how they impact the other schools. Administratively we have a Core Team meeting on Tuesday where we are devoting the entire meeting to Heritage and reviewing the base scope and other facility needs. Steve and I are also reviewing the referendum and non-referendum funds to begin planning for how to address the additional projects beyond the scope of the referendum. We will have documentation of the Heritage projects and costs after our Core Team meeting. I hope to have this document from the team for the Facility Meeting so we can use it is a guide and informational update. As you may remember, we reduced the dollar amount of the whole referendum by reducing the scope of work at Heritage. We knew going into the project that we would have funds available to address conversion to a 6-track elementary, and some maintenance work. We will show you how far we are able to stretch our funds, and the potential we have through contingency and non-project funds to move other items forward. We are not asking for the committee to take any action at the meeting. This meeting is informational and a time for us to gain your perspective prior to a final plan being prepared and brought forward for your consideration and approval.
