Description:
The Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) provides localized policy updates to align district policies with changes in law, regulations, and best practices. Updates 120-125 have been reviewed by administration and are presented for adoption.

6)b. Deliberate, Consider and Take Action, if any, to receive and review the District and Campus Accountability Reports and Report Cards as required the Texas Education Agency.
Description:
Texas Education Code requires districts to present and make publicly available the annual accountability ratings and school report cards issued by the Texas Education Agency (TEA). These reports provide performance rating and other accountability information for the district and each campus. This agenda item ensures compliance with state reporting requirements.

6)c. Discussion and Action on Renewal of the District of Innovation (DOI) Plan
Description:
Pursuant to Texas Education Code § 12A.077, the Board of Trustees will consider renewal of the District of Innovation (DOI) Plan. The current plan expired on April 13, 2025 and the renewal would allow the district to continue utilizing approved exemptions from certain sections of the Texas Education Code. The proposed renewal has been developed by the District Advisory Committee and posted online for the required 30-day public review period. The Board will review the plan and may take action to adopt the renewal.
