Description:
All speakers participating in the listening session are asked to complete the listening session Sign-in Card including as much detail as possible and including a printed / written copy of your presentation if one is available. The Sign-in Cards are at the table by the entrance door, and anyone who has not called in or emailed the Superintendent, in advance, may complete them now. Please include all requested information on the Sign-in Card so administration can provide follow-up as needed.
This is an opportunity for the School Board to listen; the School Board will not engage in dialogue. As a general rule, the School Board will not comment on or respond to any comments made by speakers. Please do not include names of Badger Community School employees or representatives, their title, or location in your remarks for your own legal protection and the legal rights of staff. Each speaker will have five (5) minutes to speak; speakers may not roll their time to another speaker. Speakers will be timed and are asked to complete their comments in this time frame. School Board members may ask questions if needed. Please begin your presentation by stating your name and topic only. 7. Truth in Taxation Public Hearing Meeting
Description:
Opportunity for Comments from the Public on the 2025 Payable 2026 School Tax Levy
Included with your board materials this evening is the information and recommendation for taxes that were levied in the fall of 2025 and will be collected in 2026, providing district revenue for SY2026-2027. Roseau County mailed a notice of proposed property taxes to all property owners. Under state law, Badger ISD #676 must conduct a public meeting to receive citizen input regarding the levy proposal. As part of the public meeting, the District is required to review its proposed 2025 Payable 2026 tax levy and its current budget for SY 2025-2026. The School Board is scheduled to take final action with regard to the tax levy 2025 Payable 2026 at the Wednesday, December 10, 2025, Regular Meeting. Co-Presenters: Matt Rantapaa, Senior VP, R.W. Description:
BGMR Joint Sport Billing for 2024-2025 from GMR to Badger. Wrestling is billed across Badger, GMR, and Tri County cooperative. Track and Field is billed across the BGMR and Northern Freeze cooperatives.
According to the claim presented by Greenbush Middle River School District: BGMR - Badger owes GMR $68,305.10 BGMR/TC (Wrestling) - Badger owes GMR $9,204.42 According to the claim presented by Marshall County Central School District: BGMR/NF (Track and Field) - GMR owes Badger $9,782.78 The claim presented to the GMR from Badger (approved 8/13/25) is as follows: BGMR - GMR owes Badger $73,729.83 Badger submitted a claim to GMR for additional AD/MISC expenses and is as follows: BGMR - GMR owes Badger $2,824.96 Total billing: GMR owes Badger $86,337.57 Badger owes GMR $77,507.52
