II. QUALITY IN ACTION (Strategic Direction 4)

II.A. We are excited to highlight the Early Learning Office Team of Dawn Rehn, Rosie Krumrie, Tere Castellanos, and Lu Campbell.  In the last two years, this team transformed our Early Learning Office and services in support of Preschool becoming Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (Free 4-year old Preschool) across the district, our ECFE program splitting with IGH and responsively serving the families of SSP, and the development of and the move into our new Family Education Center.

Our Early Learning Team met these challenges with grace.  They went above and beyond the expected by always putting the needs of our families first, by matching new families to services, and by creating a warm and welcome home for our youngest SSP Learners.  We also want to thank the School Board for their support and our Building and Grounds staff for their amazing attention to detail in developing our new Family Education Center. II.B. SSP Community Preschool Teachers will also be with us to continue to teach our community about early literacy strategies including a few more songs to teach the school board. (C. Garling-Squire)
