In honor of all paraprofessionals working throughout the State of Minnesota, Governor Mark Dayton has designated January 25-31, 2015 as Paraprofessional Recognition Week.  Though specific job descriptions vary widely throughout our District, each and every paraprofessional is an essential member of our education team.  South St. Paul Public Schools recognizes the important role our paraprofessionals play in the success of our students, staff, and programs.

V.A. Approval, for the South St. Paul Board of Education to approve scheduling a Closed Session following the regular business meetings on February 9 and 23, 2015, for a negotiations update per the Open Meeting Law (Minn. Stat. § 13D).
  

V.B. Approval, for the South St. Paul Board of Education to approve the Early Retirement Incentive Plan Resolution. (A. Bushberger)
  

V.C. Approval, for the South St. Paul Board of Education to approve the 2014-15 Certified Salary Lane Changes. (C. Miller)
  

V.D. Approval, for the South St. Paul Board of Education to approve the 2014 Pay Equity Report. (C. Miller)
    

V.E. Approval, for the South St. Paul Board of Education to approve Susan Williams-Berg to a three-year term, beginning March 1, 2015, as a school district representative on the Central Square Community Center Advisory Board. (A. Williams)
   

V.F. Approval, for the South St. Paul Board of Education approve the resolution to provide notice to the East Metro Integration District (EMID) on or before February 1, 2015, that South St. Paul Public Schools, Special School District No. 6, intends to withdraw its membership from the EMID Joint Powers Agreement and its participation in the EMID collaborative.  The Notice of Withdrawal shall be effective on June 30, 2016, the calendar year following the Notice of Withdrawal, as provided by the Joint Powers Agreement. V.G. Approval, for the South St. Paul Board of Education to approve the FINAL field trip request for the French class to travel to Paris on March 25 - April 4, 2015. (A. Williams)
  

V.H. Approval, for the South St. Paul Board of Education to approve the Acceptance of Gifts Resolution which acknowledges the following gifts to the District:  $5,500 from the SSP Open Foundation for a new sound system in the competition gym, $13,000 from PeaceMaker Minnesota for Restorative Justice Peace Guides at Kaposia Education Center and Lincoln Center Elementary, and $150 from the SSP/IGH Rotary for the Choir Boosters program.
