It is recommended that the Board move into closed session to consider information regarding the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees of the public body or legal counsel for the public body, including hearing testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee of the public body or against legal counsel for the public body to determine its validity; collective negotiating matters between the public body and its employees or their representatives, or deliberations concerning salary schedules for one or more classes of employees; litigation, when an action against, affecting or on behalf of the particular public body has been filed and is pending before a court or administrative tribunal, or when the public body finds that an action is probable or imminent, in which case the basis for the finding shall be recorded and entered into the minutes of the closed meeting; self evaluation, practices and procedures or professional ethics, when meeting with a representative of a statewide association of which the public body is a member; and student disciplinary cases.

Approve the school calendar, with a beginning date of August 24, 2016 and a closing date of June 6, 2017, including Parent/Teacher Conference days of November 23, 2016 and March 24, 2017, and the Teacher Institute days of August 22, August 23, November 8, 2016, and March 3, 2017 be approved as the official school calendar, year 2016-17, of School District 69, Cook County.
15.5. Disposal of Excess or Obsolete Equipment
Approve the declaration of the equipment detailed in the February 10, 2015 memo as surplus equipment and authorize Administration to dispose of the same. This equipment will be recycled by a certified R2 and/or e-Stewards recycling company.

If a member of the public raises an issue or concern that requires follow-up, the Board President or Superintendent will do so in a timely manner.
