Description:
The purpose of the public comment section of the Board agenda is to direct comments to the Board and/or provide information. Ordinarily, the Board will not engage in dialog with the speaker. Comments should be in good taste and demonstrate consideration for others. We request that negative comments about personnel or students be directed to the administration or through our grievance procedure. See also Board Policy 7340: Public Participation at Board Meetings

IX. PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED 2023 TAX LEVY
Description:
We have now come to the part of the agenda where we need to conduct our Public Hearing on the 2023 tax levy. At this point, I would declare the Public Hearing open at ______pm.
We will now conduct a Public Hearing on the proposed 2023 Tax Levy. The 2023 preliminary levy was presented and approved by the Board on November 13, 2023. It has been available for public inspection since November 14th, during regular business hours in the Business Office. Additionally, an ad was placed in the Naperville Sun on December 5th-7th, confirming approval of the tentative levy, its availability for public inspection, and setting the time, date, and place for the Public Hearing, as required by law. Does anyone in the audience have any comments to make regarding the proposed 2023 tax levy request (going once, going twice, done)? Mrs. Superits, were there any comments received via mail? (If yes, they will be entered into the Public Hearing record.) Have any comments been received via email or other media? (If yes, they will be entered into the Public Hearing record.) If not, and after hearing no further comments at the public hearing, I will declare the public hearing closed at ______pm, and we will resume our regular meeting. |
