Consent Agenda

Recommended Motion: that the Board of Education approve the actions contained in the Consent Agenda as presented.

Approval of Agreement with ASL Source

Recommended Motion:  that the Board of Education approve an agreement with ASL Source to provide sign language interpreters for students in the Deaf/Hard of Hearing Inter-district program.  See Attachment No. 7.

Approval of Agreement with Western Illinois University

Recommended Motion:  that the Board of Education approve an agreement with Western Illinois University for District employees to enter into an ESL endorsement program.  See Attachment No. 8.

Approval of 1% Optional Sales Tax Resolution

Recommended Motion:  that the Board of Education approve the Resolution directing the Regional Superintendent of Schools for the County of Rock Island, Illinois, to certify to the County Clerk of said County the questions of imposing a retailers' occupation tax and a service occupation tax to be used exclusively for school facility purposes for submission to the electors of said County at the general primary election to be held on the 7th day of April, 2015.  See Attachment No. 9.

Approval of Insurance Renewal Offer

Recommended Motion:  that the Board of Education approve the renewal for the District Health Insurance for the calendar year 2015 from Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois Insurance Company with the individual stop loss cost for all Active and Retirees under age 65 being $42.09 per employee per month as presented in Attachment No. 10.

Approval of Out of Pocket Maximum Change for Retirees over age 65

Recommended Motion: that the Board of Education approve the District Insurance Committee’s recommendation to increase the Retiree over 65 group out of pocket maximum by $500 for single and $1,000 for family as shown in Attachment No. 11.

Motion for Consideration

Requested Motion: that any construction exceeding $800,000.00 shall be approved by the taxpayers of this school district at a regularly scheduled election.
