5. Out of Country Field Trip Discussion
Description:
Insurance Agent:
We would be able to add extended coverage under our "Work Comp" policy for staff members going on the trips, but there would be additional cost for this extended policy. For students and adults attending the trips there is no coverage for us under our "General Liability" coverage package. Our "General Liability" only covers students and adults on a school trip to USA and Canada. Our Northern Capital Agent is seeking information about a possible other carrier or policy that could be obtained to cover students and adults on these trips. Attorney: The District would assume risk for any trip that it "sponsors" through a club. They would be happy to put together a formal legal opinion should we desire to have one. MASA: Call has been placed to MASA for general direction. SW Metro Schools: At this point three responses from member schools with 1 allowing the trips and 2 not allowing the trips. |

Description:
I will be providing a general "State of the District" presentation to St. John's and would invite board members interested to attend with me at 7:00 PM.
