I. Topic of discussion

I.A. Administration has been meeting to review Administrative Procedures and Exhibits since January, 2021. Though these items do not require Board approval for adoption, there are some affecting the Board which administration would like Board input on. The following Exhibit, administration would like the Policy Committees input on:

2:220 E6 Exhibit – Requirements for No Physical Presence of Quorum and Participation by Audio or Video During Disaster Declaration

I.B. B. At the May 20, 2021 governing meeting the Board approved the dedication of a speech room in memory of Pat Termini, a long time and dedicated employee of Woodland School District 50. The Board asked for administration to research existing policy regarding memorials. Attached is a draft administrative procedure providing guidelines supporting those impacted by a death of a student or staff member in an empathetic manner for the committee to review. In addition to the draft administrative procedure is information provided by the U.S. Department of Education on Paying Tribute to Deceased School Community Members.

Please note that to assist in questions the committee members may have, I have included all PRESS footnotes in the policies to be reviewed. I have also included the cross referenced policies and reviewed them with the most current PRESS update and made notations on each policy. In addition, the Revisions to Policies , Administrative Procedures and Exhibits from the June 2021 PRESS update memo is included for your reference.
