I. Topic of Discussion
I.A. The Committee will review and discuss the following policies:
  • 4:170  Operational Service
  • 6:110  Programs for Students At Risk of Academic Failure
  • 7:70    Attendance and Truancy
  • 7:90.   Release During School Hours
I.B. The administration has been meeting to review Administrative Procedures and Exhibits since January, 2021. Though these items do not require approval for adoption, there are some affecting the Board which the administration would like Board input on. The following Exhibit, administration would like the Policy Committees input on:
  • 2:220 E6  Exhibit - Requirements for No Physical Presence of Quorum and Participation by Audio or Video During Disaster Declaration
  1. At the May 20, 2021 governing meeting the Board approved the dedication of a speech room in memory of Pat Termini, a long time and dedicated employee of Woodland School District 50. The Board asked for administration to research existing policy regarding memorials. Attached is a draft administrative procedure providing guidelines supporting those impacted by a death of a student or staff member in an empathetic manner for the committee to review. In addition to the draft administrative procedure is information provided by the U.S. Department of Education on Paying Tribute to Deceased School Community Members.
