Request approval to hire the following as Teacher Mentors for the 2019-20 school year. First year teacher mentors will work up to 80 hours and second year teacher mentors will work up to 40 hours. They will be paid at the extra duty hourly rate of $37.88 per the Collectively Bargained Agreement which will be funded by the Title II grant. In addition we are recommending Mr. Jeremy Daugherty continue as coordinator of the mentoring program. Mr. Daugherty will be paid at the extra duty rate of $37.88 per the CBA.

Request retroactive approval for the Calumet Area Industrial Commission (CAIC) Summer Bridge program. This program will be offered to recently graduated Argo seniors to complete the classroom and certification requirements for OSHA, LEAN Manufacturing, and Forklift training. The entire training is funded through CAIC with no cost to the District. We are requesting retroactive approval for use of Argo facilities (Classrooms 164 and 246) during the summer school hours from June 3 through June 27, 2019. A current certificate of insurance is on file.

Request approval for Coaches Dan McCarthy and Jacqueline Finley to chaperone the members of the Argo Girls Basketball team as they participate in the Marquette University Team Camp in Milwaukee, WI on June 21 & 22, 2019. This trip will require an overnight trip. The team will stay at Marquette University and will travel on a school mini bus There is no cost to the district for this event.
