Request approval to accept the notice of resignation from Dr. Laura Jervis from the position of Head Sponsor of Scholastic Bowl for the 2019-20 school year.

Request approval to hire Ms. Paris Townsell for the Director of Athletics Secretary position pending successful completion of pre-employment requirements effective May 1, 2019. This position is available due to resignation of the previous secretary in March. Additionally, it is requested that Ms. Townsell be allowed to work no more than three days ahead of the official start date for training. Ms. Townsell will be paid $29.16 per hour per the Collectively Bargained Agreement.

Request approval to hire Ms. Joan Murphy for the PPS Counseling Intern position pending successful completion of pre-employment requirements for the 2019-20 school year. Ms. Murphy will be paid a stipend of $1,250 per semester for a total cost of $2,500 for the school year, which is fully reimbursable through the state of Illinois.

Request approval to hire the following ESS Teacher Aides for the 2019 summer school sessions. Instructional aides will be paid $24.92 per hour up to 6/30/19 and $25.54 per hour starting 7/1/19 per the Collectively Bargained Agreement. Instructional aides will not exceed 80 hours per session, or 160 hours for the summer. Employment is based on student enrollment. All the following aides have the appropriate certifications and are currently employed at Argo.

The pay rate is $37.10 per hour for 6/3/19 through 6/30/19 and $37.88 per hour starting 7/1/19 per the Collectively Bargained Agreement. Each class has different hours, but no teacher will exceed 68 hours per session. Employment is based on student enrollment. All teachers have the appropriate certificates and either currently teach at Argo or have taught at Argo before.

A current certificate of insurance will need to be provided prior to use of the facility.

Request approval for the Chicago Fire Soccer Club to use Memorial Stadium on the following dates: Tuesday, April 30, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.; Thursdays, May 2, 23, and 30, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The district recommends charging the organization $300 per hour. Fees for security and/or maintenance may apply. A current certificate of insurance will need to be provided prior to use of the facility.
