Description:  The Board of Education received a thank-you card for the sympathy plant sent to the family of Hector Poelvoorde Jr.
IV.  Public Comment
Description:  At this time, the President of the Board of Education will recognize visitors and ask if any citizen of the community is interested in speaking to members of the Board of Education. Time allowed will generally be limited to three minutes for each individual, unless waived by the President. All individuals who wish to address the Board of Education must sign up in advance. The President may limit the opportunity to address the Board in cases where a person has previously addressed the Board on the same or related subject. Issues brought to the Board prior to being channeled through the proper chain of command will be referred back to the appropriate level.
V. FOIA Requests 
Description:  On April 5, 2021, SmartProcure submitted a commercial FOIA request to the East Moline School District No. 37 for any and all purchasing records from 12/18/2020 to current.

VI.1. Approval of Minutes
Description:  It is recommended that the minutes from March 29, 2021, regular meeting be approved.
VI.2. Approval of Treasurer's Report
Description:  It is recommended that the Treasurer’s Report for March 2021 be approved subject to audit.
VI.3. Approval of Accounts Payable 
Description:  It is recommended that the Board of Education approve the payment of bills listed, received during the month of March 2021, to be paid during the month of March 2021, and quick pays during the month of April 2021.

VI.5.b. Personnel - Classified - Employment
Description: 

Madison Femali has been employed as an instructional aide at Hillcrest Elementary, effective April 29, 2021.

Stephanie Bjork has been employed as a security monitor at Glenview Middle School, effective April 19, 2021.

VI.5.c. Personnel - Licensed - Resignation
Description: 

The following individuals have submitted letters of resignation, effective at the end of the 2020-2021 school year:

VI.5.d. Personnel - Licensed - Leave of Absence
Description:  Jennifer Block has requested the use of unpaid leave from March 30, 2021, through the end of the 2020-2021 school year.

Theresa Wachs has requested to extend her unpaid leave through the end of the 2020-21 school year.  Ms. Wachs is employed as a teacher.
 
VI.5.d.1) Personnel - Classified - Leave of Absence
Description:  Hilary Anselmi has requested unpaid leave through October 25, 2021, following the birth of her child in July and the allowable use of sick leave.
VI.6. Other Financial Reports
Description:  Enclosed with the Agenda Information are the March 2021 Activity Fund Report, the Budget Summary Expense Report, and the Budget Summary Revenue Report for March 2021.

VIII. Executive Session
Description:  In accordance with Chapter 5, Act 120, Section 2, of the Illinois Open Meetings Act, an Executive Session will be held to discuss:

The appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees of the public body or legal counsel for the public body, including hearing testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee of the public body or against legal counsel for the public body to determine its validity.  However, a meeting to consider an increase in compensation to a specific employee of a public body that is subject to the Local Government Wage Increase Transparency Act may not be closed and shall be open to the public and posted and held in accordance with this ACT. 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(1).

Collective negotiating matters between the public body and its employees or their representatives, or deliberations concerning salary schedules for one or more classes of employees.  5ILCS 120/2(c)(2).
