4. Paid Family Medical Leave Proposal - Madison National Life (MNL)
Description:
Beginning January 1, 2026, the State's Paid Family Medical Leave program will begin. This will require the District to withhold and contribute a total of .88% of all wages to fund this program (split .44% and .44% between employer and employee).
Our Insurance representatives at NIS have brought forth an alternate option for the District to consider through Madison National Life (MNL). The total premium required would be .78% resulting in savings for both the District and its employees. MNL has experience in providing these programs nationally and there's a belief that they will be able to provide a more seamless customer service option for administering this program. |
