6.1.2. Institute for Environmental Assessment (IEA) Radon Testing Report
Presenter:
Colin Green with Marshal Engstrom and Pat Weir
Description:
Between November 2016 and May 2017, the Institute for Environmental Assessment (IEA) tested 82 areas of Park Elementary for radon levels. Of the 82 areas evaluated, one area, room 114, indicated a radon level above the recommended action level. Though the area that tested above the recommended action level, IEA stated it is still well below a level that would be considered as hazardous exposure for a school setting. Still, ISD 2397 has taken precautionary steps to review the matter. IEA with Buildings and Grounds Director Colin Green will discuss these results and discuss the next steps.
