1. Call To Order
This meeting is a meeting of the Board of Education in public for the purpose of conducting the School District's business and is not to be considered a public community meeting. There is a time for public participation during the meeting as indicated on the agenda. |

3. Citizens' Comments
This portion of the agenda is for citizens to address any questions or comments to the board. The board will listen, take comments and questions under advisement, and not respond at this time. The presiding officer will refer questions to the superintendent for research and response. When called on by the Board President, the citizen may address the board for up to three (3) minutes during the citizen comment period. Citizen comment timeframe is limited to 30 minutes. |

8. Adoption of the Consent Agenda
Items on the Consent Agenda are to be voted on as a single item by the board. Board members may remove items from the Consent Agenda prior to the vote. Discussion of the items that have been removed will be added to the Action/Discussion Items listed on the agenda. A motion is needed to approve the items on the Consent Agenda. A roll call vote is required.

8.B. Board Policy Update - First Reading
Description:
Administration is recommending updates to board policy #2340 FIELD AND OTHER DISTRICT-SPONSORED TRIPS. Copies of the policy have been provided in board packets on 5/5/2025. This is the first reading of the policy. The policy will go into effect after the second reading of the policy. Dr. Burtsfield will answer questions.

8.C. Board Policy Updates - Second Reading
Description:
Administration is recommending updates to board policy #4430 Revised LEAVES OF ABSENCE. Copies of board policies were provided in the 5/5/2025 board packets. This will be the second reading of the policies. This motion will put the policy into effect. Dr. Burtsfield will answer questions.

Description:
Administration is recommending that the board rescind policy #2264 NONDISCRIMINATION ON THE BASIS OF SEX IN EDUCATION PROGRAMS OR ACTIVITIES due to the Department of Education's invalidation of Title IX 2024 Regualtions. Copies of the policy were provided in board packets on 5/5/2025. Dr. Burtsfield will answer questions.

Description:
Administration is recommending that the board rescind policy #8640 TRANSPORTATION FOR FIELD AND OTHER DISTRICT-SPONSORED TRIPS due to the policy being addressed in #2340 FIELD AND OTHER DISTRICT-SPONSORED TRIPS, which will have the first reading of the policy on the 5/5/2025 regular board meeting. Description:

Description:
Administration is recommending that the board approve the overnight field trip request submitted by Alyse Hoyt to take 7 students to the 2025 BPA National Leadership Conference in Orlando, Florida from May 6-12, 2025. Documentation was submitted to the Superintendent's office prior to depature.

10. Closed Session
Description:
The Board will adjourn the regular meeting and go into closed session for the purpose of Superintendent's evaluation.
