Description:
This is a meeting of the Southfield Board of Education in public for the purpose of conducting the School District's business and is not to be considered as a community meeting. There is one opportunity for public participation during the meeting and comments are limited to three minutes per individual. The Board will listen to comments, but may not respond during the meeting. If you wish to address the Board, please submit a comment card immediately.

8. Public Participation
Description:
If you wish to address the Board regarding a school related issue that has not yet been resolved by school administration, please submit a comment card immediately. Comments are limited to three (3) minutes per individual. As a matter of fairness, speakers with complaints against individuals are asked not to mention any persons by name. Complaints concerning employees, pursuant to Board policy 9130, should be brought to the attention of school principals or other administrators before coming to the Board of Education. Your cooperation is appreciated.

9. Closed Session
Description:
Under the Michigan Compiled Law, Open Meetings Act, Section 15.268, Subsection 8 (1) (a), the Board of Education can meet in closed session to consider the dismissal, suspension, or disciplining of, or to hear complaints or charges brought against, or to consider a periodic personnel evaluation of, a public officer, employee, staff member, or individual agent, if the named individual requests a closed hearing.
