Description:
The Board of Trustees will consider approval of the annual Certification of Compliance required by Senate Bill 12 (89th Texas Legislature) and Texas Education Code §§39.008, 11.005(c), and 28.0022(h). The certification affirms that Breckenridge ISD has adopted and implemented the policies and procedures required by state law regarding prohibited Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) activities, instructional requirements, employee and contractor notification, and other statutory provisions established under SB 12. Board approval of the certification is required prior to submission to the Texas Education Agency (TEA). Following Board approval, the Superintendent will submit the certification no later than September 30, 2026. |
