Jennifer McCaffrey, Director of Early Childhood, is requesting that the Board approve the 2026-2027 GSRP Family Handbook.

Kim Thalison, Director of School Wellness & Prevention

     Services, requests the approval to accept the Notice of Award from the Substance

     Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). This funding

     opportunity provides training support for Youth Mental Health First Aid and other

     related training in Clinton, Eaton, and Ingham Counties. The FY 25 award is in the

     amount of $125,000.

Jennifer McCaffrey, Director of Early Childhood, requests an additional                   part time ECS coach. The EC team has continued to expand GSRP classrooms in the county. Based on this work, an additional part time ECS coach would help ensure teaching teams

     have the feedback and follow up to improve quality practices.

Jennifer McCaffrey, Director of Early Childhood, requests approval to accept the grant from ECIC and MiLEAP. The Early Childhood Department applied for a grant from      ECIC and MiLEAP to oversee a regional version of the Family Resource Center/Great Start to Quality.

     This initiative supports quality improvement in child care settings.The approval

     of the grant will require (3)1.0 FTE coaching staff members and a 1.0 FTE

     coordinator to be hired by ERESA as the fiduciary.

Kelly Hager, Assistant Superintendent for Special Education requests to execute the agreement to contract with E-Therapy Intermediate for 0.5 FTE School Psychologist  to fill a vacancy.

 Kim Thalison, Director of School Wellness and Prevention Services, is requesting the authorization of the subcontract to The Michigan Department

    of Education. The subcontract includes services to support the administration of the

    Profiles and/or Youth Risk Behavior Survey to priority school districts as required by the

    Center for Disease Control Improving Adolescent Health and Wellbeing Through

    School-Based Surveillance and the What Works in Schools Program grant.

Kim Thalison, Director of School Wellness and Prevention Services, is requesting the authorization of the subcontract to Michigan State University, Office of K-12 Outreach. The subcontract includes program evaluation services as

     required by the Centers for Disease Control Improving Adolescent Health and Wellbeing

    Through School-Based Surveillance and the What Works in Schools Program grant.

Vlad Lebedintsev, Assistant Superintendent for Career & Technical Education, is requesting that the Board authorize the Superintendent to execute an agreement with Davenport University for Capital Region Technical Early College (CRTEC) programs

Kim Thalison, Director of School Wellness & Prevention Services, requests the authorization for a service agreement with MPCA in the amount of $105,000 to support implementation of the Michigan Model for Health curriculum in schools (pre-k through 12th grades) throughout Clinton, Eaton, and

     Ingham Counties.

     Services, Requests authorization for continuation funding of the Mi-APPP grant,

     which provides case management support to young parents in the greater Lansing

     Area to achieve goals around health, financial security, adult relationships, and

     education. The funded contract amount is $117,000.

     Services, is requesting the authorization of the contract with the Michigan Department of

     Health and Human Services for the implementation costs associated with the Grand

     Ledge School-Based Health Center in the amount of $275,000.

     Health and Human Services for the implementation costs associated with the East

     Lansing School-Based Health Center in the amount of $275,000.

Kim Thalison, Director of School Wellness & Prevention Services, is requesting execution of the continuation contract to University of Michigan Health Sparrow Eaton Hospital for the implementation of health care services for the School-Based Health Clinic located in East Lansing High School in the amount of $260,444.

1. Kim Thalison, Director of School Wellness &            Prevention, is requesting board approval for Richada Brown, the Regional McKinney-Vento

                        Coordinator, to attend the National Conference Addressing Poverty in Wichita, KS on

                        October 11-13, 2026. Conference expenses are approved through grant funds.

Conference expenses are approved through grant funds.

Kim Thalison, Director of School Wellness & Prevention, is requesting board approval for her to attend the International Certification and Reciprocity Consortium Stakeholders Meeting in Biloxi, MS. Kim is the vice-chairperson for the Michigan Certification Board for Addiction Professionals (MCBAP) and has been invited to attend due to her leadership on the Board. All expenses will be reimbursed by MCBAP

1. Ben Bever, CPC Principal/Director, is requesting that the Board of Education approve and permit Elliott Bouck & Micah Galliver

to attend the SkillsUSA Washington Leadership Training Institute. Elliott and Micah serve as state

officers on the SkillsUSA- Michigan Board

1. Nate Leale, Deputy Superintendent, is requesting approval for out-of-state travel to Carlisle and Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, October 7-9, 2026, to participate in the Regional Leadership Forum as part of Michigan State University’s Education Policy Leadership Program (EPLP). The experience includes experiential leadership learning at the Gettysburg Battlefield and strategic leadership programming at the U.S. Army War College in Carlisle, with a focus on leadership, decision-making, and strategic thinking. Travel and lodging expenses are not expected to exceed $2,000.
