I.C.1) School Board Recognition: The Superintendent and cabinet members will recognize the Eaton RESA Board of Education members for their service to the District in celebration of January as School Board Recognition Month.
I.C.2) Special Education – Meadowview School: Elizabeth Longshore, Special Education Supervisor of Offsite Programs and Meadowview Teachers, Jennifer Richardson and Mikel Kellogg, will provide a brief overview of Meadowview classroom highlights from 2021 and introduce the Michigan Continuous Improvement Process (MICIP) goal for standards-based grading in our Meadowview classes.

I.E.2)a. Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America (CADCA) 32nd Annual National Leadership Forum: Kim Thalison, Prevention Program Services Supervisor, is requesting Board approval for three staff members to attend CADCA’s 32nd Annual National Leadership Forum in National Harbor, Maryland, from January 31 - February 3, 2022. The conference will provide participants with an opportunity to learn more about national trends, best practices, and youth engagement strategies. Costs are covered by grant funds and a community partner.
I.E.3) 2021-22 Contracted Speech and Language Pathology Services: Ryan Harp, Assistant Superintendent for Special Education, is requesting that the Board authorize the Superintendent to execute an agreement with ProCare Therapy to provide the current 1.0 FTE contracted Speech and Language Pathologist vacancy for the remainder of the 2021-22 school year from January 24, 2022 to June 17, 2022 in an amount not to exceed $60,376.

I.E.4) Grand Ledge Public Schools Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) Representative: The Grand Ledge Public Schools Board of Education recommended that CJ VanNieuwenhuyzen be appointed to serve on the Eaton RESA Special Education Parent Advisory Committee at their work session meeting on October 11, 2021. Kelly Hager, Monitor & Related Services Staff Supervisor, is recommending that the Board approve this appointment to the PAC.

I.E.5) New Board Policy – COVID-19 Vaccination, Testing and Masking Requirements: Based on Board Bylaw #0176, the Superintendent, in consultation with legal counsel, is requesting that the Board President modify Board procedures to allow the Superintendent to recommend that the Board approve new Board Policy #8450.01, to comply with vaccination and masking requirements from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), Michigan Occupational Safety & Health Administration (MIOSHA) or the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS).

I.F.1) Eaton County Emergency Response Update: Sean Williams, Superintendent, will provide an update on school safety from the Eaton County Emergency Manager, in light of the Oxford High School tragedy and the recent increase in threats of school violence.
