III.B. 2019-20 Final Budget Revisions - The Superintendent and the Executive Director of Finance & Operations are requesting that the Board approve the 2019-20 Final Budget Revisions that were presented as an information item at the May 20, 2020, Board meeting. Board approval is required for the General Fund, Special Education Fund, Career & Technical Education Fund, Food Service Fund, and Student Activity Fund.
III.C. 2020-21 Proposed Budgets - The Superintendent and the Executive Director of Finance & Operations are requesting that the Board approve the proposed General Education, Special Education, and Career & Technical Education fund budgets for 2020-21 based on unanimous support from our local constituent district Boards of Education. Tina Monroe, Executive Director of Finance & Operations, is also requesting that the Board approve the Food Service and Student Activity budgets for 2020-21. Board approval of the 2020-21 operating budgets is required prior to July 1, 2020.

III.D. 2020 Property Tax Levies - The District collects property taxes in the summer and winter. The summer tax levy needs to be submitted to local taxing units no later than June 30, 2020. Tina Monroe, Director of Finance & Operations, is requesting that both the summer and winter tax levy be approved at this time to simplify the process.

III.E. Facility Use Agreement with Potterville Public Schools - Potterville Public Schools will be providing classroom spaces for the Meadowview Elementary and Middle School Moderate Cognitive Impairment (MOCI) classrooms as well as two Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) program classrooms at Potterville for the 2020-21 school year. Ryan Harp, Assistant Superintendent for Special Education, is requesting that the Board authorize the Superintendent to execute the $24,000 facility use agreement with Potterville for the 2020-21 classrooms.

III.F. Special Education Administrator Agreement with Potterville Public Schools for 2020-21 - Potterville Public Schools has requested continuation of the service agreement with Eaton RESA to provide a .5 FTE Special Education Supervisor for the 2020-21. The .5 FTE will be incorporated within the bill back to Potterville Public Schools as part of the Special Education Funding System in an amount not to exceed $60,865.

Resolution Regarding Funding to Preserve Educational Services for Children - At its May 2020 monthly meeting, the State Board of Education adopted a resolution to urge Michigan’s state legislature and the Michigan Congressional delegation to support any bill to preserve educational funding and services to Michigan school children that have been impacted as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. State Superintendent of Public Instruction, Dr. Michael Rice, MASA, MAISA and MASB have urged local boards to adopt similar resolutions, thus the Superintendent is recommending that the Board approve a Resolution Regarding Funding to Preserve Educational Services for Children.
III.H. Second Reading - NEOLA Policy Updates Vol. 34, No. 2 - Based on review by the Superintendent, the following new or revised policies are being provided to the Board for second reading and approval from a recent NEOLA Vol. 34, No. 2 update. These changes are requested to align to various state level changes re: curriculum development, homebound instruction, reproductive health/family planning, attendance, school calendar, school safety information, student abuse/neglect, care of students with chronic health conditions and use of electronic records/signatures.

IV. INFORMATION ITEMS
IV.A. COVID-19 Updates - Cindy Anderson, Superintendent, and cabinet members will provide the board with an update on district operations and planning underway to re-open district facilities as of 7/1/20, the SCI summer program, and regional efforts to re-open districts for the 2020-21 school year.
